Aunthentic Filipino Foods.....YUM!

Almost a month ago hubby and I celebrated our birthday together although my birthday is actually a few days early than his, but as much as possible we try to celebrate it together. We've been together for 4 years now and it was actually our fourth time that we celebrated it together,  how awesome is that?? pretty awesome! I KNOW!! LOL!

 Anyways, on OUR birthday I spent  ALL DAY cooking! it was hella fun! I love LOVE love to cook so I didn't really mind that I was preparing the goods, slicing a million veggies, cooking a bunch of yummy foods. The only thing that I really didn't like to do at that time was to wash the dishes (old style washing...which is BY HAND!) good thing that my "mother-in-law" saved the day because she did it. She's such an awesome mother in law, she's really sweet, generous, nice and I really really love her. I feel so blessed that I have her as my MIL, thank God she's not one of those MONSTER-in-LAW that some poor Daughter-in-law had to experience!

Back to the foods though, on our birthday I cooked plenty of authentic Filipino foods, the foods were pretty traditional too because it is common that you'll find those foods during birthday parties and holidays. So, if you're a REAL FILIPINO it is important that you have noodles on your birthday... because its our "beliefs" that noodles means LONG LIFE. lol. I'm freaking ain't sure if I'm making any sense at all but yeah!

 Here are the yummy foods that I cooked all day!

Embutido ( Filipino style Meat loaf)

Lumpia  ( filipino style spring rolls) 

PALABOK (seafood pasta on rice noodles) MY FAVORITE!!

Pancit (stir fry rice noodles) GOTTA HAVE IT!!

Thunder Bay trip

Finally after almost FOUR YEARS I finally had some balls to visit mi familia in Thunder Bay! It was 8 hours away from here in Winnipeg, I always wanted to go there for a visit even before.. I always made plans, I even booked some days off at work thinking that my boyfriend and I were gonna go but we never did coz I always backed out. It's a LOOONG story why the hell I was such a chicken to go see my family but yeah After almost four years I finally made up my mind and decided to go there to see them and to chill with em! It was hella scary obviously, I was so nervous and I was really excited too.. and not to mention that it was my boyfriend's first meeting with them.

On the way  there, the scenery was awesome! although my butt kinda hurts because I was sitting down for hours!but the scenery and seeing my family was worth it.

And while my hubby was driving I entertained my self with the beef jerky!

and also with the 3D glasses that I got from the movie theater :)

My boyfriend and I had a GREAT time with my family, were definitely going back there  ASAP! and this time I won't be scared anymore :)

I now definitely know that the saying from tbay is true!
IF YOU MISS MT. MCKAY YOU MISS THUNDER BAY!
lol I thought that that saying was gay but now I realized that its super true! Mt. Mckay was awesome! I appreciate it even more now that I don't get to see it everyday of my life..

first post EVERR

Wow! I can't believe that I'm "writing" my first post here on my blog! I'm so excited to post more stuffs about a lot of things LIKE clothes, shoes, purses, make ups, cooking, baking, photography,traveling and people..there's going to be some VLOGS too, make up tutorials, cooking and baking shows ETC ETC! yay! I can't wait! :)
